Woodturning – Natural‐Edge Turning

Through this comprehensive hands‐on workshop, learn how to make a natural‐edge, aka live‐edge, turning. Topics will include safety considerations, wood selection, bark inclusion, design considerations, sharpening, mounting options, turning techniques, and finishing. Each participant will have the opportunity to complete two natural‐edge turnings. As time permits, various alternative designs, from functional to decorative, may be demonstrated and/or discussed in addition to the hands‐on class projects, such as a winged bowl.

This is a two day workshop. Each day will begin at 9:00 am and end at around 4:00 pm. The workshop will be held at Intersections Wood Collaborative at 299 10th Street E., Owen Sound.
